SNEHANILAYAM – HOME FOR THE AGED

Snehanilayam, founded in 1979 by the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel in collaboration with the Nirmal Dasigal Sisters, is a haven of compassion located on the outskirts of Suryapet at Loyola Nagar, Basha Nayak Thanda. For over 46 years, we have lovingly served the abandoned, poor elderly, and differently-abled, offering shelter, care, dignity, and family—completely free of cost. Rooted in love, guided by faith, and committed to service, Snehanilayam continues to be a home where every life is cherished, respected, and uplifted.  Read More

Director’s Message – Rev. Bro. Petrus Ekka

With immense gratitude to God and with joy in my heart, I welcome you to Snehanilayam – Home for the Aged. For more than four decades, this humble institution has stood as a living testimony of Christ’s love in action. What began in 1979 as a simple response to the silent suffering of abandoned elders has grown into a family rooted in compassion, fraternity, and service. Every life that enters our gates is received not as a beneficiary, but as a cherished member of our home.

At Snehanilayam, we believe that every elderly person deserves dignity, warmth, and a space where they are heard, seen, and cared for. Our residents carry within them years of wisdom, sacrifice, and silent stories—honouring those stories is our greatest responsibility. With the support of the Montfort Brothers, the loving presence of the Nirmal Dasigal Sisters, and generous well-wishers, we continue
this mission joyfully and entirely free of cost. I extend my heartfelt thanks to all who walk with us—our
benefactors, volunteers, collaborators, and friends. As we journey

forward, may Snehanilayam remain a beacon of faith, hope, and love for all who seek comfort and belonging.
