Visit of the Suryapet District Collector – Inauguration of the New Sneha Nilayam Building
On 29th May 2025,Sri Tejas Nandlal Pawar, IAS, the Honourable District Collector of Suryapet, visited Sneha Nilayam to inaugurate the newly constructed residential building for the aged and specially-abled. His gracious presence added dignity and significance to this important milestone in the institution’s history. The Collector was warmly received by the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel, the Nirmal Dasigal Sisters, and the residents, who expressed their heartfelt gratitude for his visit.
During his tour of the campus and the new facilities, Collector Sri Tejas Nandlal Pawar expressed deep appreciation for the high-quality infrastructure created for the residents. He remarked that the building reflects exceptional planning and a strong commitment to safety, comfort, and dignity for the elderly and differently-abled. He noted that such thoughtful, well-designed facilities are rare even among privately funded organizations, and commended the Montfort Brothers for providing an exemplary model of service.
The Collector spoke highly of the total free and selfless service rendered by the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel and the Nirmal Dasigal Sisters, acknowledging the tremendous impact their work has had on the most vulnerable sections of society for over 46 years. He appreciated the compassionate care, personal attention, cleanliness, discipline, and family-like atmosphere maintained for the residents, many of whom have no other place to call home.
Moved by the humanitarian work being carried out at Sneha Nilayam, Sri Tejas Nandlal Pawar assured the management of his full support and expressed his readiness to extend any assistance required from the district administration. His visit stands as a memorable and encouraging moment for the institution, reaffirming Sneha Nilayam’s important role as a beacon of care and compassion for the homeless elderly and specially-abled of Suryapet and surrounding villages.
